Reviews
I was referred to Andy for an alignment by someone who personally recommended him as he did the best alignments and he was worth the drive from Barrie.
Andy did not do the alignment. The van was not safe to drive but at this point nobody knew it. (See previous reviews)
Now I did tell the man on the phone when I made the appointment that my steering wheel was upside down. He could have actually saved me the drive from Barrie.
This review is to compliment Andy on how he handled the situation and how professional he was when someone was pressuring ( Mike The Mobile Mechanic in Stayner) to do something he knew was not correct.
Thank you Andy
Went for a boot mat and may go back to buy other stuff
Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Store is well stocked - you don't have to use online services for those things you need every day and the things you need in a pinch.
Will not return. Dropped off my vehicle to get exhaust fixed, and when they called with the quote and an explanation of what needed to be fixed, I was told one thing. When I picked it up, they tried charging me $250 more than the "worst case scenario quote." I got it down to $100 more as they needed to replace a gasket. They also replaced my muffler, which was a year old, and never mentioned to me it was being replaced or I'd have fought that! When i asked what was wrong with my muffler they brought me someone elses smaller muffler to show me the problem. They said they didn't realize it wasn't mine. When I left, I also had a dashboard full of lights on, and they passed it off as not their problem. The lights weren't on when I dropped it off. They created more problems and won't fix it without charging more. I'm taking it elsewhere to fix these new problems.
Canadian tire auto service is the worst. The service desk is no help.
I brought in my Silverado for a noise coming from the front end. I dropped it off on a Monday afternoon and they worked on it for two days and I picked it up on Friday. I left the auto center and realized that the noise was still there. I called back, they told me to bring it back over to look at it again. At this point I’ve already been charged $1800.00 for parts and labour and they didn’t even fix the issue I brought it in for.
Now I went back to the auto center, stated the issue, being that the check engine light was still on, the noise I brought it in for is still occurring and on top of that my driver side mirror is tapped up with black electrical tape! No apologies from the service desk, just blank stares and the smart response that the manager isn’t in, and you can call him on Saturday. This is unacceptable, I would not recommend bringing your vehicle there for anything more than a tire change or oil change. For $1800 I would have expected better service.
First time experiencing horrible services from there. No accountability taken. They tried to brush off their mistake by saying, "something came loose while lifting the car up". It had nothing to do with them. I went in for a tire change yesterday. Putting on my winter tires. I went there, with my car being fine. Now my car is making noise and it'll cost minimum $270 to fix it. So I went in with a perfectly fine car, left with a car making noise and it's not their fault? "something came loose".. TERRIBLE!!!
Went for a ladder 47 percent off. None in stock. Sales rep phoned another store they had 2 and held one for me. Both stores were very helpful and curtious. Thks again to the nice people at these two stores.
Had a great experience at the service department. Had a last minute oil issue before a long drive. Cody and Paul were extremely helpful and professional. Appreciated the quick response and how polite the staff was.
